Virginia Premier will keep you up-to-date regarding any changes that apply to you as you care for our members. This includes care guidelines and billing, as well as federal and state regulations and our own policies. Lab Testing

Virginia Premier will cover the full cost, waiving any co-pays or cost sharing for COVID-19 diagnostic testing.


During this state of emergency, Virginia Premier will cover telehealth benefits related to urgent and non-urgent office visits for all of our health plans.


In response to the COVID-19, Virginia Premier is temporarily changing its pharmacy benefits.

Service Authorizations

Virginia Premier is waiving service authorization requirements on selected services in accordance with DMAS Requirements.

Fair Hearings and Appeals

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Virginia Premier has made changes to provider appeals.


Virginia Premier will be implementing credentialing exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
