Virginia Premier CEO Linda Hines has been reappointed to the State Board of Health by Gov. Ralph Northam, effective June 1, 2018. She was first appointed to the Board in 2014 by Gov. Terry McAuliffe. In this role, Ms. Hines provides valuable input on current health care issues and keeps the Board of Health informed on developments in managed care health insurance, such as the upcoming expansion of Medicaid in the Commonwealth.
Ms. Hines has been active in civic affairs for a number of years. Under Gov. Tim Kaine, she served as a member of a health care advisory task force. She also has served as a member of Planned Parenthood’s Board of Directors and as a member of the Advisory Board of the VCU Health System Institute of Women’s Health Professionals and the VNA (Virginia Nurses Association) Access to Care Committee.
