Governor Northam Declares a State of Emergency Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As the Governor of Virginia has declared a state of emergency, we will allow our members to fill their prescriptions at any pharmacy, even if it’s out of network, and temporarily waive restrictions such as “refill too soon.”

If you experience any interruption of your benefits at the pharmacy and need immediate help call the Pharmacy Help line 24 hours a day, seven days a week at:

Medicare Advantage Members

During the state of emergency, we will allow you to get care from other health care providers at Medicare-certified facilities, even if they aren’t in our network and your health care need isn’t an emergency.

If you have any issues filling a prescription or receiving out-of-network care, please contact Member Services by contacting the number on the back of your card.

Virginia Premier is committed to the health and safety of our members, patients, employees, and physicians. We are constantly monitoring the situation and working closely with our network providers and community partners to ensure that our members continue to receive the care they need. To learn more about how we’re supporting our members, visit our Coronavirus (COVID-19) resource page.
